Easter Sunday ended up being a rest day for us and it was a good day. Our hotel was 100 yards from a Baptist church here in Willis. They had a decent service that included a really cool display of some high school students dedication. They used a black light and white gloves and made shapes that went with a song. It had to take a bunch of practice I wish I would have been able to tape it for us.
Mona arrived today and is already in full swing in the RV, cooking and organizing the kitchen. Aunt Sharon made it home safely so that was good to hear as well. We ride for only three days this week as we prepare for the hilly part of Texas and then we have a two day rest. This week will also bring us to Lockheart and Chisums BBQ which is deemed one of the best places to eat BBQ in the country, or so I am told.
There have been so many wonderful people that have helped us get to where we are at. But I want to highlight our core team here. This group spent countless hours over the last year and half working on various parts of making Pops Ride happen.
Rachel, Melody, Melinda, Jodi, Kerri, Kyle, Shane, Mike, Sarah, Mona, Jerry, Pops, Mom, Kurt, Becca
Thank you does not do enough justice, I owe you each so much. Your dedication has known no bounds, I am reminded each day that you are still working for us with prayer or work that is still going on behind the scenes.
Lesson for the day. It is never to late to start new, everone gets a chance to become something better, to renew there spirit or reinvent how they approach life.
