So the lesson I learned in Day 2 came in handy when my brother woke up very sick, what i have not told you yet is that he had over heated on both of the previous days. So the disapointment I felt he was feeling multiplied. On day three he did not ride instead he had the opportunity to visit a medical facility and let them know what we are doing. He also learned that he needed to stay of the bike for the next three days. Well that was not easy for him to hear and not easy for the rest of the team either. We started this together and the last thing any of us wanted was for somethign like this to happen early in the ride. However, I have complete faith that with some rest he will bounce back and again be leading us down the rode. My brother the Rock of Pops Ride, I am proud of him.
For me day three was a new begining, i awoke ate and felt ready for the day that lay ahead. What a day it was for me, my legs felt light and strong all day. I had made some changes to when and what i was eating and drinking and they seemed to help. As well the coolere weather had finally arrived. The day started off with some rain which in turn brought cooler temps and no humidity. Our prayers had really been answered.
I do not want to forget to thank now and I am sure many more times the crew we have with us. They are doing a great job, we always have what we need when we need it. I will tell you with out them this would not happen. Bill, Jerry, Dad, Aunt Sharon, Mom you guys are fantastic.
Well they day was fairly uneventful we simply rode and enjoyed feeling good again.
Be thankful for good friends and your family are around you as they are what holds you up in times of difficulty and they are what make the good times worth rememboring. That is todays lesson.
