Today we rested, sort of. We started the morning off by cleaning the drive train on the bikes and splitting up the duties for the day. Kyle, Bill and I went to the laundromat while the rest of the crew went to get groceries. So the laundromat is an interesting place and I will say that I am happy I do not have to frequent one often. Not that it was dirty or rundown I just like taking a nap when I am cleaning my clothes, i guess that makes me picky.
The afternoon was filled with a trip to the Naval Aviation Museum here in Pensacola. This was really, really cool. I am not a huge plane guy but I do like history and these planes all had a story behind them. From WWI planes to moder fighters. My Dad and Jerry met an retired gunner who spent about an hour giving them the history of the planes in the WWII section of the hanger. I was bummed that i missed it because i love to listen to old stories about told by the people who lived them. And it sounded like it was a great time.
We also took some tome to watch an IMAX movie on the Blue Angels which was very interesting. Not sure I could hold my stomach in check doing the kind of flying they do. Very impressive skill sets that they have.
Tomorrow we start riding again, my legs feel good and i am fairly well rested and fueled. The best thing is that Shane will be back riding with us. It was kind of weird not having him with us, we were missing a spoke in our wheel. We heading into Alabama, finally another state. I liked Florida but I am ready to cross a state line. Hopefully before to long we get to see an Alligator, maybe it will be chasing one of those unleashed dogs (ha ha).
Here are some pics from today.
