So you may be asking yourself why did he buy a new bike. Well I had no choice as the old one was damaged beyond repair and was deemed not rideable. I am sad but at the same time excited new rides are always fun, I really want to thank Bob, Kevin and Amber at the Bicycle Vibe for there help in not only finding the issue but setting me up so quickly with a great new ride. These guys are great to work with please stop in and see them if you are interested in cycling.
Ok on to today. What a way to start the last week of the ride we were sent off with a live TV interview (http://www.kpho.com/local-video/index.html?grabnetworks_video_id=4696012) I think this will help us not only raise awareness but maybe come closer to our financial goal as well. Please pass it around I think he did a great job. We are also now joined by my older brother and sister, mom and nephew for the remainder of the ride. I am so happy today it is a little hard to describe it. Keith Barr also joined us and will be riding with us to the AZ, CA boarder. Galen Yoder a long time family friend rode with just for today. It is so great to have friends that are willing to share this experienced with us.
Today's ride was short and sweet, we rode 65 miles to the town of Aguila, AZ. the temperature was mild and the wind was not a huge factor today. This was good for all of us as Shane and I had new bikes to get used to, we are coming off a two day rest and the others need a chance to start getting into the rhythm. I don't want to miss saying thank you to our new RV driver and Cook the Jim and Karen, they are Kyles mother and Father in law and we are very happy to have them with us.
Lesson for the day: Life is not about the things you have as they can be easily taken away and replaced. It is truly about the memories you make with your friends and family. These are things that can never be taken away and are what you can hold onto in the bad times or share during the good times.
