Day 2 Let there be a Scoop

Well folks we have completed day two and i figured out how to upload some pictures.  Hope you enjoy them as much as i did.  Today started with a scoop (see photo below) this is a Carl Ames traditions of taking three things you are grateful for, doing a little stretch and showing people what they are.  Today Mom Dad and I decided it would be best if we took the first 15 miles off.  I don't think any of us were ready for another long day on the bike.  After we started rolling we had a great day of riding.  The entire day was spent riding by water of some sort, either a lake, river or the ocean.  I have to give it to Northern, WA you guys have a some really beautiful areas to live.

Today was the first day i rode solo as mom thought it best for her to ride only a short distance today. Let me tell you it was a little weird to not have her on the back of the tandem, which i rode solo for about three miles.  Once on the regular bike it took a while for me to get comfortable.  I was really sore from yesterday but it was all worth it.

Spent some time riding with Phil Casey and Tom Casey who are a laugh a minute.  Great guys from the Friends from Phinney crew.  They not only brought us a lot of laughs but helped kick this ride off with a bang.  Thank you gentleman for all of your support and energy.  Sad to say they will be leaving us tomorrow but i am sure we will ride with them again in the near future.  Tomorrow will be another good day i am sure as we continue to work our way down towards the Seattle area and the cosat.  Which we will be another good day.

Special thanks to our SAG support who have been doing an amazing job getting us through all the twists and turns.  Rachel Baderman and Jerry Hogg you guys are Awesome.

You can track us each day by visiting our website and clicking on the track me button.  Please also take some time to visit the PoP's Ride Store, the other websites.  Share our mission with as many people as you can.

Thought for the day:
Adversity no matter what it is builds your character and makes you the person you are.  Surrounding yourself with good people allows you to grow and enjoy life all the more.
