Was that an eguana?

I have to say that all in all today was a great day.  The weather was perfect and the sky was clear could not ask for a better day.  I know it has been said before but today was full of hills but they are getting easier each day.  Each day day gets better at conquering the hills and gets stronger.   Last night was quite an experience we showered and did laundry all in the same store.  it was a little odd and not the cleanest in the world but man did that shower feel good.  I also spent a big part of the night cleaning and working on the bikes.  I had to make some adjustments to dads bar height and got him some new pedals.

Today i spent a lot of time just really enjoying the "ride" itself letting all of my senses just pick up on what they could.  The feel of the road and the cool air on my face.  The sounds of the road, the cars, the birds the wind.  The smell of sweet flowers, fresh cut trees, ocean breeze and a few dead critters.  All the colors of the rainbow, i never noticed how many shades of green grass there can be in and how they all work together then are splashed with color by all of the wild flowers.   It was a sensory overload but reminded me of how much i miss being out in this wonderful country.  Gods paint brush has many beautiful strokes it is our job to take the time to look at them.

Tonight we were again blessed with great accommodations at Goria Dei Lutheran church.  They provided us with a great place to sleep and fed us some fantastic food.  We had the pleasure to meet Nancy Layne who cooked for us and had a great conversation with us about our ride and her commuity.  Thank you Nancy for taking the time to talk with us.

On this trip i have been led to do some searching of what is next for me and what is truly important in life.  I have struggled with these questions thus far and feel i will continue to try to do this as we progress.  Time, faith and Prayer i think will lead the way.

Thought of the Day;
Turn off your TV your Phone your Radio your IPod and head outside find look around and see what is there let your senses lead you instead of your electronics.  Go old school play in the dirt, run barefoot in the street or go find a swingset.
